Museo Historico UNC Manzana Jesuitica, Cordoba

#1 of 211 in Museums in Central Argentina
World heritage site · Historic Site · History Museum
Originally built by Jesuit missionaries in the 17th century, Museo Historico UNC Manzana Jesuitica now stands out as one of the most picturesque areas of Córdoba. King Charles III expelled the Jesuits in 1767--not only from the quarter they had created, but from the entire continent of South America. Their legacy lives on, however, in the historical neighborhood's many important buildings. Wander through its storied streets, stopping to appreciate the church, monastery, friary, and charming university, which still educates young Argentines today.
