Pay tribute to those who fell in Ypres in World War I at Tyne Cot Cemetery. There is also the "Memorial to the Missing," commemorating the soldiers who were never found. The cemetery is the resting place of the remains of the Commonwealth soldiers and a show of tribute by King Albert I of Belgium to the British forces that sacrificed their lives for Belgium. Notable graves include multiple soldiers posthumously awarded the Victoria's Cross for exceptional bravery. This honor is denoted with a Victoria Cross symbol on the soldier's gravestone. Very peaceful and well kept cemetery. The visitors center is worth a look too.
