Abilio Barreto Historical Museum Reviews
Da mesma forma que a cultura não é um segmento, a cidade também não é. Neste sentido o museu cidade deve conter várias vozes. Assim, O Museu Histórico Abílio Barreto é um representante fiel da cultura... more »Just as culture is not a segment, the city is also not. Thus, The Historical Museum Abílio Barreto is a faithful representative of the culture of the city, from an environment, like the urban, timeless, or temporal pluri, and that breaks with the ceremonial status of the museum object to the detriment of the typical polyphony of the city and the Urbanization. Without losing harmony, he puts side by side, with the same degree of importance the various voices of the city. Representing different cultures and consequently golden cultures such as those of the distant past, the recent past and even the present. It also highlights those most erased parts of the formation of the city, these various breaths that drive the city are in present and vivacious extroversion in this museum. It really feels within the experience and this largely takes it off from the Museum of Arts and Crafts that for its neoclassical structure and the lack of representativeness of the subjects who are silenced in the process of representing the doings. Aspects that end up alienating some practical remnant for those who do not have experience of those extroverted offices. While everyone participates in the city, the MHAB leaves this practical and subjective experience on site. In addition to taking the city's polysemy to extroversion in the museum, after quick research it is noted that it also seeks to bring the museum to the city's polyphony. Through various actions and a multifaceted environment composed of a historic and a modern building; outdoor stage; a square where young people meet/ internal and external exhibitions; illustrious landscaping of plants that have valuable representation in the mining context; in addition to a large and detailed map of Belo Horizonte in the external environment of the headquarters building (most recently built building). In addition, it also has diversity of exhibitions being these short, medium and long duration, with different forms and approaches. The MHAB is also responsible for a library specialized in the history of Belo Horizonte and an educational sector that produces several actions with society in harmony with other museums. Therefore, the museum environment does an important work seeking to encompass the city in its entirety historical, social and cultural. Also covering transport collections over the years, paintings and framing within the museum space the oldest house of Belo Horizonte (object of important representation than once the city has already been) built even before the foundation of the city, belonging to a village previously established on site. The house was listed in 1951 as the city's cultural heritage. I recommend going unpretentiously and taking food to make a nickel poke outside.
