  • Do the walk in cold day without possibility of rain. It's a long walk and you walk in mountain mountain (like Lord of the rings the Fellowship of the ring) a good ride to reflect on our history and what the books don't show. The site was a mint out of the Empire. The coins minted at this location that financed the riots and the most important of them the Inconfidência Mineira. A fortress built in place of dícil access to these days, the huge stones of the building are another great point of reflection and admiration by its constructors. Difficulty, pain, slave labor and the price in lives to keep a secret of this size. A stroll through a story that raised the name of the mountain where she's built-Serra da Moeda. The Government never found her. The fortress stands only by their external walls and doorways and Windows where one realizes the vigilha site from the inside out and the outside in. Some shackles where slaves were arrested and nothing more. An adventure for those who likes to meet and build their own considerations about our heritage. Surely you will search and prolong this adventure through the pages of Google. A smooth ride for you.

  • The Fort is an open-air museum, with also an ancient ruins "home" where some say was where manufactured clandestinely gold coins, and others say it was the seat of a mining company at the time of the gold cycle. Today the site is an archaeological site that is part of the Historic and landscape of the Serra da Sidewalk. Site built during the mining of the 18th and 19th centuries. Provides great contact with nature, with visual stunning widescreen! Indicated for people in search of different places to meet, but it is important that the visitor has good health to go by sometimes steep trails in the Woods. Site monitored by the supervision of IPHAN. I recommend you go to classes, because you may have malicious people in the vicinity, because the site is fenced off, but stunning! Down a little further up the trail for a 12-minute walk away, and traversing the path down by the Creek, is a small waterfall where you can cool off. Don't forget to bring water to drink and do not leave behind dirt!
