Home to an old Jewish community, the city opened Museu do Holocausto de Curitiba in 2011, the first and only institution of its kind in Brazil. You can take a free guided tour here, or choose to visit the exhibit at your own pace. Many displays are interactive, with original materials, such as numerous audio and visual recordings of survivor testimonies. The museum aims to preserve the memory of the Holocaust in the words of its victims, and to honor those who helped them and fought against hatred, racism, and prejudice. The museum is located inside the newly-built synagogue, which serves as a cultural and religious center of Jewish life here. The internal climate of the rooms makes you distressed (it was even too cold due to the air conditioning) I believe it is necessary to tell the cases that occurred. There are many depictions of photos, illustrations, text detailing and some interactive parts, as well as recovered objects and videos. I would just like you to have more possible dates of guided tours and, on the day of my visit, unfortunately some audios did not work.

For me without problem but the last time I was with two Americans and I had to translate everything. A representative of the museum told me that she has plans to place information on English, Hebrew and Spanish. Hope! You lose too much abroad if you can't read anything!
This is a nice place to reflect about history and beliefs. Reservations are required to visit there
Raising awareness for antisemitism and discrimination. Thumbs up.
