A visit to Buraco da Raquel is more of an interesting historical experience than your typical day spent at the beach.   • Today one has to look at this big rock by the shore from a 'Mirante', a view point. Located in the island's north, not far from the Porto do Santo Antonio one is not allowed to go to the rock itself.....  more »
  • All the tourist guides try to take you there...but there is nothing special to see there. If you want to see sharks there are better places.  more »
  • The view is quite beautiful. According to the tour guide, Raquel was the daughter of an important person on the island and fled to this hole almost always. This place is right next to the Shark Museum.
