Zooparque, Itatiba

#1 of 7 in Things to do in Itatiba
Must see · Zoo · Zoo / Aquarium
Zooparque is found within 50 hectares (124 acres) of well-preserved forest islands and streams, making it one of the largest zoos in Brazil. Following a 3km (1.86 mi) trail, you can observe more than 1,000 various animals from Brazil, Africa, Eurasia, and Australia, some of them out in wide-open spaces. The path is protected from the sun by trees, providing nice shade and many benches along the way offer a place to take a rest. The monitors are very helpful and keen on presenting interesting information in an easy way for children to understand. You can traverse the entire park in about three hours. In some sections of the park, you can take photos with the animals that are free roaming, accompanied by employee supervision, of course. A restaurant serving snacks and drinks is available for you to refuel. Use our Itatiba planner to add Zooparque and other attractions to your Itatiba vacation plans.

  • Amazing place to go with your family specially if you have kids, they will love it. The trails is quit long for small child's and they don't have accessibility, or if you go with a small kids you will have to carry them during some stages of the trail, but apart of it is an excellent place to visit. I recommend to arrive after lunch in hot days, you will need around 3 hours to do the course. It has a restaurant and cafeteria to eat.
  • A great opportunity to make a picnic with the family and watch the nature and animals.
