Ponta Verde Beach, Maceio

#3 of 115 in Things to do in Maceio
Beach · Nature / Park
Although swimming is not recommended, Ponta Verde Beach remains one of the hottest urban beaches for its lively nightlife where you can immerse yourself in Brazilian culture. This beach stretches out on a peninsula surrounded by Pajuçara on one side and Jatiúca on the other. Most of the time, you can listen to local live music and watch dancers on the beach or in many of the bar restaurants. This urban beach has less people begging for money or goods than other urban beaches, making it a comfortable place to eat tapioca on the beach. Although the attractive Amazonian straw huts along the waterfront get busy in the evenings, there's usually seating available at their full-service beach bars.
