Brazil's Folklore Capital
Located between two rivers in the north of São Paulo state, the well-developed town of Olimpia is best known for its large water park and its roots in folklore. Home to more than 50,000 people, the town was named after the daughter of Dr. Antônio Olímpio Rodrigues Vieira, the politician who founded it (although many visitors mistakenly assume the town took its name the famous settlement in Greece). One of the main attractions in Olimpia is its annual folklore festival, which has led to its nickname "Brazil's Folklore Capital." Arrange all the small, but important details of your Olimpia trip itinerary using our Brazil road trip planning site.
