Admire the splendor of a bygone Brazilian monarchy at Imperial Museum, the former summer palace of Emperor Pedro II. See the imperial carriage and a crown of the Brazilian Empire, as well as the emperor's robes and imperial jewels. Tour ornate, well-preserved halls and rooms displaying original furniture and paintings. You will need to wear slippers over your footwear in order to preserve the polished marble floor. Afterwards, visit the gardens to view the bronze statue of the emperor and a collection of royal family photos amidst trees. • Very cool experience exploring the imperial museum. You have to wear this hilarious slippers and slide around the palace. It's very beautiful and opulent...obviously.
  • Good value for money, get to side around because you cannot wear shoes in the museum. Helpful staff.
