    Even thoe your not a religious person you must visit this place because it has a great historic value for the city and is very nice.  more »

    This church it is impressive from the upside. It is up in a hill. The facade is very nice but the surrounding are a bit worned as the humid and wet weather of Porto Alegre is not easy on maintenance.....  more »

    "Our Lady of Sorrows Church is a Catholic church located in the city of Porto Alegre, Rua dos Andradas, S/N. It is the oldest church in the city still standing. Its construction crawled for a long time and the plan of the façade was modified when it was still in construction, exhibiting today an eclectic style, but the interior is richly decorated with gilt carved in a late Baroque style with neoclassic elements, besides possessing An important group of Baroque statues of Christ in a natural size representing the cycle of passion. Headquarters of ancient religious traditions and building of great historical and artistic significance, was listed at the national level by Iphan "(Wikipedia).
