    The Public Market is a good place to buy artisanal cheeses, salami, and other typical foods. In addition to food and drinks, there is a very interesting handicrafts and antiques fair.  more »

    A must see at Porto Alegre city. You will find a big variety of (regional) food and drink. There are restaurants, bakeries, coffee houses, ice cream shop, wine shops... in this place.
  • By pretend there's a name
    When it comes to variety of food, it's good, but the place is as unpleasant as it could be. The surrounding neighborhood is awful, the streets are dirty, smelly and all the buildings are badly preserved, it looks like the aftermath of a revolution. Not even talking about the Market itself, it's dirty, small and badly organized. If you want to buy food, go straight to a supermarket.
