Lively Copacabana Beach features warm waters and a wide stretch of white sand, with numerous hotels, restaurants, bars, and night clubs dotting its promenade. You can swim, play sports, relax on the sand, enjoy freshly-caught fish delicacies, and soak up the atmosphere of one of Brazil’s most popular tourist destinations. The beach is policed and lit all through the night, so it’s always abuzz with hundreds of visitors, musicians, and food vendors. Take a leisurely sunset walk on the beach’s iconic walkway, and stay late to see locals singing, dancing, and playing footvolley right on the water’s edge. Remember to always swim where the locals do, and leave all your valuables at the hotel. Copacabana Beach Reviews
Finally made it to Rio! Copacabana beach is long, clean and beautiful. We were warned that it is dangerous but didnt feel that. You have to be careful anywhere you go today in the world. Be watchful. more »
We stayed at the Rio Othon hotel for 2 nights prior to joining a cruise. The hotel looked on to the Copacabana beach and what an impressive view it was both during the day and equally so at night... more »
A must-see spot in Rio, although is recommended protect your personal belongings as cameras and cellphones, don’t even think about using jewellery! It can be a bit dangerous in the summertime, but if you follow the previous advices you are surely going to see one of the most beautiful and delightful places you ever been (a caipirinha by the beach must not be missed)
A lot annoying people trying to sale you something every minute, their screams don`t let rest and enjoy normally. Also a lot robbery on this beach, i was robbed and in the police was at least 2 people with the same situation from there. I recommend other beach for relaxing and more secure time spending.
