Brazil’s history is inextricably linked to the stories of African slaves and their descendants. These stories have shaped the culture of modern Brazil, and the Afro Brazil Museum tracks their lineage with over 3,000 artifacts collected from around the country. Travel down the halls with an English-speaking guide to discover the museum's holdings. The guide is essential since all of the signage is in Portuguese. Along the way you'll see photographs, sculptures, furniture, masks, and documents; all of them telling the harrowing tales of life as a slave and the struggle to find freedom in a new land. Afro Brazil Museum reviews
Alot here but have a quick wander through and then loiter at the bits you like. These are mine:
This place is amazing. This is my second time in Sao Paulo and my first time in this museum. It has four floors dedicated to afro culture. You can see many pieces from Africa and north of Brazil.
