Ciccillo Matarazzo Pavilion features 30,000 sq ft. (2,800 sq m) of Brazilian and international contemporary art under one roof. The building is a masterpiece itself designed by a team led by architects Oscar Niemeyer and Hélio Uchôa. Wear comfortable shoes since the size of the space means you’ll do a lot of walking. Initiated in 1951, The Bienal de São Paulo is the second oldest art biennial in the world after the Venice Biennial. The biennial serves to bring Brazilian art closer to an international audience, and vice-versa. • Built by the motivated Italian Ciccillo Matarazzo passionate about culture, arts, this enormous construction survives modern and skilled to receive large events. In summer the A/C is missing.

  • Great space, very beautiful where I saw the thirtieth third edition of the Bienal de São Paulo. You have floors of sheer expanse to appreciate artwork. Very good. Recommend.
