  • First I want to highlight the extreme difficulty in obtaining passages of this "tourist express", especially when you need tickets for groups, as was our case, that between family and friends, totaled 08 people. My wife and I had to get accurate information directly at the Tourist Express window in the Luz station, because it is not feasible by Internet or telephone. We knew then that the tickets are sold on Fridays very early, with payment in cash, being recommended to be there soon from 08h00, since it usually exhausts around 14:00, believe if you want. In addition, the waiting for vacant dates for the tour is 02 months, as was our case. The value can also not be said that it is reasonable, because it costs R $50.00 individual, with progressive discount for up to 04 tickets acquired. So whoever intends to do this tour will have to have a high dose of patience, from the moment of the acquisition of the passages. The Expresso has departure time at 08h30 on Sundays of the specific platform in Estação da Luz, Direction Paranapiacaba, with only stop in Santo André, when they embark other passengers with the same destination, being the return to São Paulo at 16h30 at the station of Locale. The composition has diesel traction with two passenger cars, the first with seats upholstered for two people, and with reversible backrest, and the second wagon with reclinable armchairs type regular bus. Both wagons with individual male/female toilets. From the boarding platform to the journey itself there is organization. However, the journey itself and the traumatizing slowness of the train throughout the journey, to the locality of Paranapiacaba, made the tour uncomfortable. See, we left at 08h35 from Luz Station and arrived at the landing platform of Paranapiacaba at 10h52, ie more than 2 hours of travel, close to lunch time. There is no any kind of board service, water, coffee etc. You have to take things to eat on your own. ALSO NOTEWORTHY, THAT THE PSEUDO LANDSCAPE "TURISTICA" OF LIGHT TO THE LOCALITY OF RIO GRANDE DA SERRA IS MEDONHA, BETWEEN REMNANTS OF TRAINS, RUBBISH, ABANDONED COMPOSITIONS, CORPORATE BACKGROUNDS, AREAS WITH IRREGULAR OCCUPATION AND NOTHING WORTH EVEN REMOVING THE PHONE FROM THE POCKET TO MAKE PHOTOS. After Rio Grande da Serra (last station before Paranapiacaba), the sides of the Expresso are taken by the native vegetation integral to the Serra do mar, making it possible to also obtain photos of landscapes. Arriving at Paranapiacaba it is verified that it is a railway village with many houses deteriorated by time and remnants of machinary of the time. There were adjustments of some houses for the purpose of tourism, cafes, restaurants, crafts and nothing else. There are tours of "Trenzinhos" that run some local stretches, hiring guides for trails and nothing else. Around 15:00 the fog had already taken over the region and the rain helped to further undermine the ride as a whole. From our group no one else intends to use the tourist Express again, there was nostalgia and left disappointment in the cost benefit, better to go by car or take the regular train from Luz station to Rio Grande da Serra, then about 10 minutes by bus will already be in Paranapiends any day of the week.

  • About 80% of the tour is the same as the turquoise line of the CPTM (light to Rio Grande da Serra), the landscape is of neglect and abandonment (garbage, scrap, scrub, abandoned buildings, and companies the margins, get ready to hear how they got there , those who failed to see rubble), arriving in Paranapiacaba, a lot of neblima, normal place, take a cape! The charm of the English village is for tourists to see, a street only, some houses, a club, a tower in retirement, a train stopped, the Maria smoke is not in operation, and only. Then you have the other options paid. 1 hour walking and you see everything you have in place and feel ashamed of the railway mesh. If you want to go, go bus to There, take a guide and make the trails. #boasorte
