Parque Cidade de Toronto, Sao Paulo

3.7
#23 of 63 in Parks in Sao Paulo
Parque Cidade de Toronto offers a green respite from the concrete and glass buildings housing the residents of one of the world's largest cities. You can while away an afternoon here, walking, grilling, jogging, or working on your tan by the lake. Located on the western side of town, Parque Cidade de Toronto contains 87 species of fauna, including eight varieties of fish in its lake. If you hear the sound of a dog melodically barking, it's probably the "Frog-dog," a jumping amphibian that bays like a canine. The park's 68 bird species also compete for your audience. You can also wander through landscapes varying from forest to marsh and observe different tree varieties along the way. While you're at Parque Cidade de Toronto, it's hard to imagine you're in the Western Hemisphere's most populous city. • The park is beautiful, but in fact it is abandoned. The bridge, its great charm, is closed for maintenance. It is noted that the interdiction occurred a long time ago, because it is taken by Bush. The lake is beautiful, it is still scenery for pre-wedding photos, prenatal or birthday (I saw the three being held in the afternoon in which I was there), but there was little fauna. There's no diaper. In the ladies ' room there's something that looks like a brooms warehouse, with a stone bench, in which I switched my daughter's diaper. The park has courts and woods. There's no diner, but on Saturday there was a walking trade outside the gate: pastel, crisp, popcorn, homemade bread, coconut water and balloons. A lot of people were hanging out with their dogs. There's a lot of potential to attract tourists if you get a little more care.

  • The city park Toronto surprised me with its beauty. A little bit of nature inside the city with hiking trail and a lake to enjoy. There is a playground area for the kids to have fun and barbecue area. The only downside is that there is a part of the park interdicted and half abandoned (wooden bridge). But it's a beautiful park. Easy access by marginal Tietê.
