  • Not that much to see except some big stone walls in the middle of the Forrest, although a bit atmospheric and interesting history with a touch of mystery. Short visit is enough.  more »
  • Our visit here was a bit of a disappointment. As BF's only World Heritage Site I expected more. The site itself is a collection of ruined walls (11th century-ish) of a fortified settlement built in.....  more »
  • The ruins of Loropéni are located in the southwest of Burkina Faso, about 40 km west of the town of Gaoua. The site was once a walled city surrounded by a high wall of 6 meters of stone. There was a lot of archaeological work that was done before the history of the region is well known.
