  • Trip was great and I would go on the boat trip again to get up close and personal with the falls. The only downside is as soon as you get close to the falls, the mist is so ferocious that you can’t ac...  more »
  • The trip to Niagara Cataras is simply an experience that everyone who travels to Canada should have. I started from the city of Toronto and took the Via Rail train from Toronto to Niagara Town, that train left us in an hour already in town. That's where I walked about 20 minutes to the cataraas but there is also public transport that costs the same all day (about 8 Canadian slats). You can also take a taxi that among several pays less and is more comfortable. I walked with my family back and forth. While there I hesitated to take the tour to the catatates because I found something very commercial and touristic, however I decided and took the tour that approaches the cataras and was one of the greatest experiences of my life, it is impressive what nature shows us ah (sounds trite.. I know). Also on the tour they narrate the origin of the catarátas and the Canadian side the name of the tour is Hornblower Niagara Cruises (Voyage to the Falls). When taking the tour on the boat there is a place where there is a restaurant, you can have a coffee, listen to live music, eat there watching the post-tour cathotes on the boat and you can also stay a while to squeeze and take pictures in there and then take the funicular towards ar riba again. The tour on the boat costs around 29 Canadian for adults and costs 19 for children. There are other attractions such as zip line, a tour that takes you walking very close to the cataratotes, will depend on each one. In the evenings there is a fireworks show. With a day is enough for the traditional experience. It really is a must-see experience!!

  • A must do when visiting Niagara Falls! The walk to the boat begins with a series of ramps that take you to an elevator which takes you to the area where you receive your poncho. Then another series of ramps to the boat. The crowd was very light on our Tuesday 5pm cruise. We walked right on board with space available on the bottom rail. It was a fun exhilarating ride; about a 15-20 minute cruise. There is a food vendor and pavilion with tables and seats on the property. Bathrooms on property are very small with only 4 or 5 stalls, it was a long wait even though the area was not that crowded. A tip...the part of the boat that gets the most wet is the front and bottom right, based on the way the boat turns into the falls on it's way back. That side of the boat is in the falls the longest. Even on the bottom right center we got pretty wet but the ponchos did a good job keeping our clothes dry. Tie your poncho tight to keep it on your head if you wish to keep your hair dry. It is very windy when you get close.
  • So beautiful! This was a once in a lifetime experience and it was super fun. My family and I purchased our tickets, waited in line, (maybe 10-15 minutes?) put on the ponchos, and got onto the boat. We stood on the second level, at the front of the boat, which was a very nice place to take good photos and see the falls clearly. We did get wet, took some amazing pictures and got to keep the cute ponchos. Our boat stayed in the mist for a really long time, which was surprising! Definitely recommend!
