Ascensor Artilleria has been transporting visitors to a lookout for views of the city and the bay for over 100 years. This funicular is one of 16 that run from the city to the top of Artilleria hill. First operational in 1893, this centuries-old funicular is a historic landmark in the city, giving visitors a feel for the area’s history. Take the 80-second ride up to the top to take advantage of the views of ships in the harbor. At the top, stalls selling crafts and souvenirs let you do some shopping with a view.   • This Ascensor is at the far end of Valparaiso it's a larger ascensor than some and goes up to the large military museum. A pleasant walk around the top. Goes without saying that there are good views  more »
