Not far from the fertile Yangtze River lies Wuzhen Water Town, an ancient scenic water village intersected by canals and connected by stone bridges. Covering an area of 71.2 sq km (27.5 sq mi), the town is divided into six districts and has successfully managed to preserve its traditional appearance and rich culture, despite the rapid modernization of China. As you stroll through the narrow streets, visit the workshops where you can experience the re-enactment of long-established practices.
