Discover the traditional life of Danish farmers from the time of Hans Christian Andersen at The Funen Village. This open-air museum was founded as a public works project in 1942 during the German occupation. Some 30 original buildings were moved to the museum from various sites in the Funen region. Walk down the village street along half-timbered houses, flower gardens, and fenced enclosures with livestock. With the living history you can experience the atmosphere of a day in the country in the 18th century. Smell beer brewing, watch a young girl helping the mistress in the kitchen, and hear the sound of the blacksmith's hammer. The Funen Village Reviews
Bellissimo, molto più bello e valorizzato del cugino vicino a Copenaghen. Children's trolleys are mostly free and you can watch a lot of activities planned around the park, from milking cows to telling about the volunteers who work there!
En skøn rundtur i den gamle landsby fra 1800 tallet. Fine gamle huse, og nogle steder med arbejdende frivillige. Skønne udskårne dyr i træ i naturlig størrelse og mange levende dyr af gamle racer. Beautiful carved animals in wood in natural size and many live animals of old breeds. Definitely worth a visit, also for families with children.
Beautiful traditional fynen village right out of the past. They have a lot of farm animals and you can watch traditional trades such as a blacksmith doing their work. Houses an exhibition of the place, children's playground and also a Cafe with tasty pastries and coffee.
Very nice if you want to discover how did they live in the past! You go by your own entering the houses of the village and discovering what's inside. Everything well conserved. And the food is also nice!
