Ile Saint-Louis, Paris

4.7
#3 of 9 in Nature in Paris
The smaller of two natural islands in the Seine, Ile Saint-Louis has the feel of a 17th-century French village in the very center of Paris. The island has only narrow one-way streets, no metro stations, and just two bus stops. Most of the island is residential, but there are several fromageries, restaurants, boutiques, outdoor cafes, ice cream parlors, and a cathedral. Walk over the small bridge connecting the island with Île de la Cité to see artists and street performers, such as musicians, mimes, and jugglers. • I went on the island by indication of Ricardo Freire, travel on the trip. Guys, I didn't find anything. It's just more streets of Paris, I didn't find it charming or anything, as he mentions. I was disappointed... It's pretty small, like 3 streets, but there's nothing worth going over there... Only if you're going to be nearby anyway.

  • This island is located on the east side of the island of Cite (downstream of the Seine). The island of Cite is connected by the Notre Dame Bridge. There are churches and museums.
