One of the most astonishing sights in Paris, The Paris Catacombs hold the remains of an estimated six million people's bones in a labyrinth of caverns and tunnels. Under Paris, the stone mines contain a harrowing arrangement of skulls and femurs that form many walls. Some of the arrangements are artistic, such as a heart-shaped outline on one wall, formed with skulls embedded in surrounding tibia bones. Audio guides are available in English that enable you to discover the site for yourself. This was one of the coolest things we did in Paris. The history is very fascinating. Definitely recommend buying the skip the line tickets (AKA timed entry) or you will be waiting in a long line. When we got there, the non-timed entry line was over 100 people. We only waited 5-10 minutes in the timed entry line where there were only 4 people in front of us. You can buy the tickets right off their site, so it's definitely worth it and no additional cost.

I bought the skip-the-line tickets from its official website. When our taxi driver pointed a huge line to us as we approached the site, everyone in our group was so happy that we already had the time-specific tickets. (So please do it to avoid the waiting.) We were able to get in in less than 15 minutes. It was chilly down there, but if you keep walking, wearing a T-shirt will be just fine. There are already so many pictures just a click away, but you need to see for yourself to experience this.
