The country's center of political power, Reichstag Building houses the German Parliament. This grand building, designed by architect Paul Wallot in 1894, was renovated and reopened in 1999. Its glass dome, designed by architect Norman Foster, offers panoramic views of the city and is accessible by elevator. You'll almost always encounter a long line waiting for the elevator, especially on sunny days, so plan lots of extra time when visiting this site. Once on top, enjoy 360-degree views and listen to a free audio guide about the building and the surrounding city sites. You can visit the dome and get guided tours of the building only with confirmed reservations secured well in advance. Check the website for details on registering online or in person. • The Bundestag is a very impressive building with history. Everyone should include this in their visit to Berlin. On the roof you have a great view of Berlin.

  • Do not get up to the glass dome which is wonderful from the outside and from afar to contemplate the city as it requires a date with minino two weeks of anelavion so if you want to climb that it does not happen to you as to my and reserve. Magnificent on the outside, neoclassical style. Imposes.

  • Amazing view of the city! Orientate yourself from above. Free audio program provides info on surrounding sights. The domes' architecture is impressive. We booked a month ahead for our appointment spot. BONUS: no charge for the washrooms unlike many other public restrooms in Germany 😃
  • This place is a must to visit in Berlin. You should buy a ticket online quite early, otherwise, you may miss getting an opportunity to enter at your convenient time. I would personally recommend to go somewhere around 4.30-5.00 i.e. somewhere in between a bit of sun light and sunset. The dome takes an amazing figure as the lights turned on. And, ya, as far as I remember, the audio guide is free to use. So check it out too.
