St. Lorenz Church, Nuremberg

Church · Hidden Gem · Landmark
St. Lorenz Church stands as one of the most prominent Evangelical Lutheran churches in Bavaria. Admire the Gothic architecture outside and the many artworks inside. You'll find pieces by famous German artists such as Veit Stoss, Adam Kraft, and Peter Vischer the Elder. The gothic choir of the church, started by medieval master mason Konrad Roriczer, is particularly striking. If you're lucky, you may get to hear some music played on one of Europe's largest organs. Daily guided tours are an option. Using our international travel planner, Nuremberg attractions like St. Lorenz Church can form part of a personalized travel itinerary.

  • This Gothic styled Church is dedicated to St. Lawrence. Beautiful architecture and worth visiting when in the old town.  more »

  • An amazing building with beautiful windows, an extremely located organ and Tower tours on Saturdays. Info at the entrance with helpful employees. Find this place for some moments of bliss. You will love it
  • A wonderfully gorgeous piece of history and architecture. One thing I certainly admire about Germany is the beautiful historical architecture, and there's definitely no shortage of that. I definitely recommend visiting Nürnberg and walking the streets and checking out the churches and the abundance of beautiful architecture.
