Voidokilia Beach, Petrochori

Shaped like the Greek letter omega, Voidokilia Beach sits hidden by sand dunes and protected from wind. Often named one of the most beautiful beaches in Greece, this stretch is a geological formation unlike any other. The warm water remains shallow for quite a distance from the shore, making it an ideal location for young children. After taking a dip in the clear blue water, walk up to the Old Frankish Castle and the cave of King Nestor. Bring a picnic, as there are no facilities on the beach.
