The area's name comes from its original function as a dam on the Amstel River in 1270. In addition to the Royal Palace, built in Neoclassical style in the 17th century, the square is also home to the National Monument, Gothic New Church, and Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum. • Linda Plaza, but only in passing, without more activity and at night only the hotel has life, anyway you have to know it since the buildings that surround it are unique.

  • A very busy square where the meeting of people is a constant, several important buildings like the royal palace, worth a visit, department stores, restaurants and museum. It is about 700 meters from the central station and around several streets with a very varied trade, it is worth visiting and taking good photos.
