When in Agra, pay a visit to Tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah, an intricately decorated mausoleum, often nicknamed “Baby Taj” in comparison to its grandiose neighbor. The tomb was built in 1628 and is believed to have been the inspiration for the iconic Taj Mahal. Less crowded than its counterpart, the mausoleum boasts more delicate decorations, made with precious topaz, lapis lazuli, and onyx, as well as lace-like, intricate carvings in its marble walls. Tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah Reviews
いずれを利用してもチップ (10~20ルピー... more »A mausoleum decorated with the same decorative walls as taj mahal. A coffin lies quietly in it. The outer wall and the inside wall are very beautiful patterns. However, it is regrettable that some of them are broken or moldy. There is the gate one of a brown wall on all sides, and it is possible to go out to the river side when going to the east side. In addition, the mausoleum is prohibited. There is a clogs box on the left side of the mausoleum, where you can take off your shoes or get a shoe cover from someone there. Any use of the tip (about 10-20 rupees) is required. There is also a guide who explains it to me and takes pictures for me. You'll need a tip too, but of course you can turn it down if you don't need it.
I really suggest to see also this Mahal, if you are in agra try to go! The entry price is equal like other monuments you can see in India!!! more »
What an amazing place! Built so long ago but beautifully preserved, this is a must-see if you are ever in this area of the world. Spectacular! If possible, use a guide as the history they know enhances the visit immeasurably.
This place was well built. The architecture was awesome. But there is not much to see or spend more time with your family or friends. If you are a lover of art and architecture you will enjoy spending time here. Average time that can be spent by an idle person is 45min to 1 hour. On a whole it's one of the places to visit in Agra if you have ample time for sightseeing.
