  • If you want to have an overview of Jerusalem at the time of Jesus, you can't miss a visit to the Israel Museum. The magnificent model, which is still adapted to the excavations today, impressively shows the city and the temple of 2000 years ago. Here the guest can also admire the fragments of the Qumran rolls in a room modelled on the clay vessels.

  • Very well organized museum with a detailed history of the Holy Land going back thousands of years. Beautiful building as well. Interesting exhibit for the Dead Sea scrolls. Exhibits have detailed explanations in English. Unfortunately we only had time to visit the part dedicated to history and archeology, but the museum also has a part for art. Hopefully next time we visit Israel will get to see it.
