  • Venice is a beautiful city but there are too many people, poor service in the restaurants. Taking the vaporetto with an expectation of 1:30 with a heat of 42 is unbearable. Go to Tuscany avoid these big cities where they no longer want to see visitors and enjoy the smaller cities where people its welcoming.

  • We visited Venice in the week of the 16 sept.2018. There are still a lot of tourist and it was very hot. It is good to get lost in Venice in order to really feel the pulse of this city and discover the little restaurants hidden in an alley, the many shops, bridges, gondolas is magical. There are many signs in the major arteries to navigate. Visit the San Marco Church, have covered shoulders and shorts or skirt covering the top of the thighs. We found that they were operating the tourists. In addition to paying the entered if we don't want to wait for hours, you have to pay in the Church to visit and pay for a scarf if our shoulders are not covered. For shopping this is the place to buy leather goods, do not wait because it's more expensive elsewhere in Italy. Verano glass is beautiful and several objects are made and sold also at best price, however make sure you have a certification of authenticity of the product because there are also through, in China! The transport service by Vaporetta works well but it is still quite long. The bus service, if you live outside Venice, works very well and costs almost nothing, you must buy your tickets in the smoke shops. Most of the restaurants we try are good and reasonable prices, there is something for every budget. The service is included in the Bill. You can fill your bottles of water from the fountains everywhere in the city it is spring water and it is very good and cold. For a ride in a gondola you can book from several bridges, now the busiest is late in the day. Some have even an opera singer who accompanies you of course he must pay the price. Prices vary depending on the period that begins 30 minutes for $120 euros. We stayed 3 days and it was enough for us, we do not visit museums.
