  • A must for all lovers of antiques, antiques and collectibles, which you should find in Venice during the five-yearly weekend during which you hold this interesting market. Not held every month as written by those who preceded me, but in April, June, September, October and December. You cannot fail to find something to take home. Only professional exhibitors are present.

  • The established market of antiques in Venice is not by chance in Campo San Maurizio. Field next to Saint Stephen, in a very central area between San Marco and the Accademia; broad, on its western side is occupied by the Gothic style buildings Backer and Molin, the latter composite building two separate buildings each with a monumental quadrifora window, the entrance portal surmounted by large stone coat of arms of the family Molin. in palazzo Manzoni spent a long time Backer. Palazzo Zaguri is another gothic Palace that exit the field to the East, across multiple elevations with the main floors characterized by two orders of pentafore. The main monument is the Church of Saint Maurice, the ancient temple from the gabled neoclassical façade adorned with a large bas-relief place in triangular tympanum and two smaller rectangular-renewed by Diedo. Today is closed for worship, was the site of the study young Canova. For several decades in this environment rich in monuments, is held one weekend per month, an antique market that always collects precious works of art on wooden benches that have become traditional. My last visit in March, the weekend before Easter gave me the opportunity to admire works of art, paintings, decorative objects, furniture, antique jewelry exposed by some of the most established art galleries in Venice and Northern Italy.
