An auspicious Shinto site, Atsuta Jingu Shrine draws 9 million annual visitors who come to pay respect to its imperial history and marvel at its many relics and treasures. Emperor Keiko, who reigned between 71 and 130 CE, established the shrine to house a legendary sword that was one of three key pieces of Japan's imperial regalia. Good place to enjoy New Year atmosphere and to understand the Japanese culture. The place is quite large with a lot of beautiful scenes and great sculptures. You can come here to pray and wish many things or just relax yourself and immerse to the beautiful nature. Worth to visit in Nagoya.
