#1 of 6 in Theme Parks in Oppland
Step inside Hunderfossen Eventypark and meet characters from Norwegian fairy tales. This amusement park, founded in 1984, offers a few wild rides for adults and lots of different activities for young kids and older children. A giant troll guards the treasure of the Norwegian folk stories, which is kept behind the gates of a 37 m (120 ft) tall castle. Ride through the fairytale castle, try to save a princess, or sit and eat traditional Norwegian food among the trolls in the restaurant. The park also features a science center and 4-D shows like "The Little Prince." Note that the shows are in Norwegian. • This was our second time at Hunderfossen Winter Park. It was an absolutely magical experience and so worth a visit. Each year an incredible ice cathedral is built from scratch, containing ice pews...  more »
  • Quite interesting park for the kids. The shows are ok. But be aware that you need to pay for parking. And the food are quite expensive at the park. Almost Nok 700 for burger, fries and coke for 2...  more »

  • We were there many years ago with our 3 year old son. Those from the US (we lived in Boston at the time) will find Hunderfossen to be much more friendly and relaxing than similar parks in the US. We were extremely pleased overall.
  • Amazing amusement park for kids between 3 and 10 years. Younger kids will find it hard to enjoy all rides, such as the cars and trucks due to the minimum height restrictions of 105 cm. Most or all attractions are troll or fairytale inspired. Great big grass areas for picnicking and rest between the rides. Don't come here if you expect serious thrill rides, since the most extreme, the I'll tempo gigante can also be ridden by kids.
