Journey to the ruined city (now designated a World Heritage Site) of Panama La Vieja. Wander among collapsed walls and the still-standing church tower of the city, which was established in the 1520s. Ransacked by Welsh pirate Henry Morgan in the 17th century, not much remains, but what does is evocative. The museum's diorama, along with other artifacts, gives you an idea of the full extent of the city. To get the full experience, hire a guide to shed light on these architectural relics and paint a picture of life here. For travelers who use our custom trip planner, Panama City holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Panama La Vieja and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

The ruins are there, the story too, but the structure offered to tourists is very weak. The worst part is, you pay $15 just to get in!!! It's not affordable, if it rains you'll get wet too much and walk through the mud. The park is beautiful, but there's dirt in the surroundings. I don't recommend it unless it's to take themed photographs of old stones!
Me parece costosa para lo que ves pero si tienes tiempo puedes hacer el recorrido, lleva proteccion solar y entra al museo que esta incluido en la entrada more »I find it expensive for what you see but if you have time you can do the tour, wear sun screening and enter the museum that is included in the entrance
The ruins are really interesting. The museum is very interesting. I didn't know much about Panama City history. I love reading about history sites, and this one did not disappoint.
The museum was great - had info in both Spanish and English, and gave a pot of information how Panama came to be. The ruins were ruins. We went on a hot day so it was nice that there was a shuttle going around that brings you from entrance to the Museum and back. However, the entrance fee was quite expensive for what you will be seeing.
