San Isidro, Lima

4.4
#4 of 7 in Neighborhoods in Lima
San Isidro may have become Lima's financial center, but it is also home to neo-classical architecture, cobbled streets, and local artists. Here you will find Wak'a Wallamarka, a 4th-century burial temple that houses a collection of Indian artifacts on display for visitors. Walk the charming side streets of this neighborhood, visit its museums, and experience its fine dining and shopping options. With famous residents like Fernando de Szyszlo, Pedro Pablo Kuczynski, José García Belaúnde, and Francisco Tudela, this district has become a cultural hub in Lima. • San Isidro is a residential district basically and where 95% of the embassies, one of the 2 golf clubs in Lima and the most expensive homes in Lima are. I would only recommend it to go to eat in a good restaurant, not tourist or maybe visit the park El Olivar that contains olive trees that date from hundreds of years, some replanted or new with an area of 20 blocks (20 thousand m2) of very emblematic green areas.

  • From June to August, Lima awaits you in a grey dress. Almost 100% humidity and always with a drizzle. San Isidro is one of the most pleasant neighborhoods in Lima. All the top restaurant awaits you with their great food. Other than that, there's not much to do. The Parque Olivar I still find a pleasant change in the otherwise murky city. It is also no problem on foot to explore the district, it is relatively safe ambience: Gray To recommend to others: I recommend booking a hotel in this district
