Portugal dos Pequenitos, Coimbra

4.0
At Portugal dos Pequenitos, explore a miniature world displaying scaled-down versions of some of Portugal's most important monuments and buildings. The attraction was built in 1940 in honor of the nation's people, history, and cultural influence. While best suited for children, who will enjoy interacting with the exhibits and feeling large in this small world, adults will also find the historical value of the displays interesting. View a copy of the famous window from the Convento de Cristo in the historic city of Tomar, various monuments from the capital of Lisbon, and traditional houses. Check out the costume museum which includes over 300 pieces of miniature clothing, the naval museum full of tiny ships, and the furniture museum with small pieces handcrafted from exotic woods. Also, stop by the different pavilions dedicated to the former Portuguese colonies. The park lacks covered areas, so keep this in mind on hot days. • We had the interest to visit we reached the gate when we were informed that the admission cost €10 per person discouraged, because what was seen by the gate did not justify the size spent!

  • Portugal DOS Pequenitos is a miniature representation of Portugal, this creation owes its work to a doctor.

  • A great place to visit with kids. Miniature houses and Portuguese iconic buildings and a sampling of various cultures Portugal has influenced or was influenced by. Two hours should be enough.
  • I had last been here when I was very young and had those young memories and expectations when I went there again. At the beginning of the 'park' you find an ode to the old Portuguese territories that they founded during their navigational journeys including Macau, Timor, Guinea Bissau and so forth. The second part is of some famous Portuguese monuments. Finally the third part is of the various architectural housing designs old and new throughout Portugal. I feel that the first part could do with an upgrade and a little more information on the various territories, making it less superficial and more educational. There was also an exhibition of Lego toys and sets old and new I'm unsure if this is a permanent or temporary exhibition. The park as a whole is good as it's done really well. Kids will love it because they can run in and out of all the tiny little houses. That said there are A LOT of kids running around.
