  Il sole in Portogallo è feroce... la maggioranza dei monumenti e degli ambienti viene tenuta, nei mesi estivi, con persiane socchiuse o chiuse. Gli ambienti ne soffrono molto, e perdono in attrattiva....  more »

  The sun in Portugal is fierce... most monuments and environments are kept, in the summer months, with shutters ajar or closed. Environments suffer a lot, and lose in attractiveness. Try to see it with the luca (I don't know when it happens) is actually very beautiful and fascinating, for the lucky few who will be able to see it during official use is of course another thing, like seeing Niagara Falls with and without water!

  This room is the largest in the Royal Palace. It has a beautiful ceiling painted with coffered and belted with a gallery of rather austere royal portraits. Students would take classes sitting on wooden bancas.
