Very interesting the students ' Gala robes, the imposing buildings translate the importance of the place in Portuguese cultures and also especially in the countries colonized by Portugal, is worth it!
As a librarian, I realized a dream. It's worth a visit.
The university is well preserved. It was very cold, however. Everything we saw on the tour was interesting, including the library. The students were in the middle of some sort of graduation festivities, so it looked like we were at Hogwarts with all of the black cloaks.
I came to this city purposely to visit the university. There is definitely a lot of history here and the architecture is amazing. If you are into history and architecture then this is the place to go. Otherwise... you are better off checking something else out!
