If you prefer to lie in the sun and party on the beach on your vacation, check out Costa de Caparica, a popular strip of coastline with excellent resorts, thrilling activities, and late-night beach parties. The rougher waters provide great conditions for water sports like jet skiing, surfing, body surfing, and parasailing. Or you can just be a beach bum and visit the funky bars along the sand. At night, the beach livens up with music and friendly vacation-goers. The value for your buck here goes far in this lively area. • Beaches-they are very wide, very fine sand, long is shallow, the waves are very often large, very often blows well, cool water (it is worth checking the water temp on ipma.pt). It is useful for a screen-seriously, you can buy there. It is impossible to swim, while you can have fun with a short board, catch the waves and swim on your belly to the shore. It is worth to go to the beaches of de Corneila and south of it, few people. There are beach bars neat, eg. Golfinho, they rented surfboards. Costa town-There are hotels, blocks of 10 bunk, houses, restaurants diverse including Greek, Japanese, especially on the beach side, there is a vegetable market, fish, meat, markeciki, rotisserie chicken, etc., a town typical of tourists; The cheapest bars, restaurants I found on the R. Dos Pescadores, delicious fish and shrimp, Sangria. Lisbony can be reached by air-conditioned public bus from the loop in Costa, to the center of Lisbon about 40 min by a beautiful bridge. Popular is Bolt and Uber, there are taxis.

  • We went to this beach around 9:30 and took the first Transpraia that starts from Caparica to the beaches, this little train is just awesome!!! We went out to praia 20 and walked along the sea until praia 17 We spent all day in Costa Caparica, rented sun loungers - bambu umbrella, ate deliciously fresh fish at the Casa de Praia restaurant. After a superb day, clear water, fresh, waves, ice... we enjoyed a beautiful sunset. The return to Caparica can be done on foot (1h30), or with Uber (up to 6 degrees) as the last small train passes at 7:30 p.m. from the Praia 17. From Lisbon we took the bus 161 to the Areeiro stop which took us directly to Caparica (terminal), beware the tickets are bought on the bus as private company and is therefore not the same as tickets for bus/metro/train Lisbon. We paid for the round trip 2 adults - 2 children 15.
