  • The Hidden House is in a small space in a vertical building, between the Church of the Barefoot Carmelites and the Carmo church. The way of access to it is by a door of more or less one meter that sits between these two churches and you climb through stairs that will take you to the rooms of the house, being each room on one floor. You pay a small amount to visit it, your rooms are furnished with furniture of the time for tourists to have an idea. It's a small house, with bedroom, kitchen, living room and no bathroom because it didn't exist at the time. The door of this small hidden house was placed for visitation but at the time did not exist, the House came to shelter people who were hiding at the time there due to religious wars, etc. If I remember correctly, it was also a shelter for people who worked in the churches. It's no big deal, but it's a curiosity of the city of Porto.

  • It is built in a three-story house between the Carmel Church. It might have been stifling to live because it was too narrow. Still, the kitchen is made to be prepared. It was paid to visit the catacombs.

  • Hidden house between 2 churches. Although it was cheap I wouldn't recommend it. The house looks very small from the front (1 metre wide at the street) but behind that it gets wider and it's a very normal house.
  • The entrance is economical, it is worthwhile because this House is curious for its location and unlikely as regards the furnishings. A bit annoying remains that they sell you the ticket for the visit to the catacombs while in fact they let you see from a gate quite a lot of religious silverware and the catacombs are covered by tents!
