Estadio do Dragao, Porto

#17 of 554 in Things to do in Porto
Designed to seat more than 50,000 spectators, Estadio do Dragao hosts the F.C. Porto of the Portuguese Football League System and Union of European Football Associations matches. Its inauguration in 2003 saw a match against F.C. Barcelona, in which Porto won 2-0; that game was also the debut of Lionel Messi. Along with soccer, the stadium also serves as a venue for concerts of prominent musicians, including Deep Purple, The Rolling Stones, and Coldplay. If there's not going to be a match at the time of your visit, check out the team's museum and take a guided tour of the site--use the opportunity to see restricted areas, such as the presidential box, changing rooms, and dugouts. • Access to and from the stadium very easy, although obviously traffic is formaton more relevant games days. I strongly recommend

  • The Stadium Tour - the museum costs 15 euros per person so it is advisable to make tickets on "Get Your Guide" (just download the app) the ticket will cost you much less. You can choose whether you want an audio guide via earbuds at a cost of 5 euros. The visit will take place with access to the camp, visit the dressing room (guest dressing room only) and visit the museum where you can see the history of FC Porto from its origins to the present day and admire the continental and Intercontinental cups won by the Club

  • This stadium is very clean and modern. From checking in to ordering food, it is done with such ease and is very quick. Sound system is impeccable and the views are great no matter where you are sitting. Top that with watching the best team in Portugal (Porto) and you cannot go wrong.
  • We took the stadium tour as well as a look through the museum. The stadium tour was great although slightly disappointed you didn't get to see the home changing room. The guides were great and willing to take photos, even without being prompted. The museum is something else, as the shear amount of trophies is incredible. You don't realise how much history Porto football club has until you walk around. A very good museum and somewhere you could spend a lot of time in.
