Misericórdia Church Reviews
more »It is a church that stands casually on Flores Street which is crowded with tourists. I think I wouldn't have noticed it if there was no sign of the World Heritage Site. The existing buildings are from the 18th century. The facade on the front is neoclassical and decorated. It is a building that is not very like a church except the cross on the front roof. I went through the front twice, but it was not open twice, so unfortunately, I couldn't see the inside.

Vasco... By the Rua das Flores. It has an impressive rococo-style facade... where we find in the center the national weapons and the royal crown, dates from the sixteenth century, although they recosted it in 1775. Inside is a single ship that ends at its high altar. there are three neoclassical altarpieces of gilded carving the largest with our Sra de la Miselicordia... which next to the impressive organ located in the upper lanpart date from the (eighteenth century). On the walls, noteworthy, is the 18th-century tile cladding, depicting works of mercy and passages from the life of Christ. You can also visit a small annex cloister. It's awesome to see her even if she's not on the usual ride... of major visits I wouldn't miss it.
Beautiful church to visit. It is connected to the museum and the tower entrance. One thing that drew my attention was the fact that you could see the church from the upper level, from behind the altar! I haven't seen that before, and over visited quite a lot of churches so far, across many countries! A pleasant experience, and when we got there, it wasn't even crowded - allowing us to enjoy the whole experience even more! Definitely recommended!
Renaissance-style Catholic church first built in the 1500s, now with an 18th-century baroque facade. Located on a street rather than on its own in a square, so you could in theory walk by if you weren't paying attention. Has a lovely interior though the museum has too many paintings on similar themes for it to be a gripping visit.
