Pelisor Castle, Sinaia
At Pelisor Castle, visit the arched "golden bedroom," where Queen Marie spent her final hours entirely covered in thistle leaves--symbols of Scotland, her native land. King Carol I ordered the castle to be built for his heir, future King Ferdinand, and his wife Marie, at the end of the 19th century. The interior, decorated with early 20th-century Viennese furniture and Tiffany glassware, reflects the personal style of the queen. In the hall of honor, pay attention to the glass ceiling and oak paneling. The paintings and drawings on the walls depict the queen with her children. In the queen's study, you'll find a typical Romanian fireplace and the queen's emblem on the chairs and desk. Pelisor Castle Reviews
Visitato dopo il castello di Peles sfigura un po', ma è molto carino e forse più intimo, facendo vedere stanze e quadri dei reali. Visita consigliata che non richiede troppo tempo more »Visited after the castle of Peles Disfigures a little, but it is very nice and perhaps more intimate, showing rooms and pictures of the royalty. Recommended visit that does not take too long

An amazing place. We were lucky and had a wonderful guide that explained everything to the smallest detail.
Tiny cozy castle where the queen of Romania (back in those days country was named otherwise) lived with her children. It is situated in 5 minutes walk from main castle Peles. You are not allowed to take pictures out of respect to the royal family. Frankly it's just a big house :)
