We decided to take a picnic to Kirstenbosch today and found quite by chance that it is free for all senior citizens on Tuesdays! The gardens are really beautiful - we were only sorry that we didn’t... more »
Beautiful location! The Gardens are huge, enough to spend hours wandering around them looking at all the gorgeous vegetation! There are nice open spots for picnicking. All of the pathways are well-maintained and many are paved with stone. The treetop canopy bridge is excellent! There are lots of helpful signs explaining what plants you are looking at and what is of interest about them. Definitely a spectacular spot to visit and spend a few hours!
Absolutely beautiful place to visit. Doesn't matter if its sunny of drizzling, these gardens are a treasure to visit. Has a calming effect on our family and kids love the open spaces. Lots to learn and beautiful scenery. They also host concerts here that make it even more interesting. We got the best family photos here for our album. Be sure to visit
