Trip Planner: Europe / Spain / Valencian Country / Province of Valencia / Valencia / Valencia Cathedral
Constructed over a few centuries, Valencia Cathedral is a Gothic monument that has been an icon in Valencia since the 13th century. Inside the cathedral, you'll find 15th-century paintings and the same grand architectural style notable in the building’s exterior. On display is one of the so-called holy chalices, which Christian historians claim may be the Holy Grail. The chalice dates back from the first century and was used by many popes as the official papal chalice. Valencia Cathedral Reviews
Sin duda alguna un lugar increíble con mucha historia. La arquitectura de su catedral es perfecta. Among the unusual relics is the imperishable hand of St. Vikenty. Unexpectedly, it was a surprise to see innovative machines with electric candles.
Beautiful cathedral!! I went inside and decided to not pay the 8 euros to enter the church, instead I just paid 2 euro to climb the tower of the cathedral! It is a pretty long trek upwards, but worth the view of the city. The staircase is fairly narrow near the top, so not for all ages.
Honestly? Not worth it. Not worth the expensive 8 euro entrance fee. Crowded with tourists. And please don't waste time and the 2 euros to climb the tower. The view isn't that great. And the view is partially fenced off with mesh wire.. Plus u have to fight your way with tons of tourists. Other cathedrals in Spain are nicer.. Bigger.. And cheaper.
