Explore a collection of over 50 military aircraft at Flygvapenmuseum, and delve into complementary exhibits of engines, instruments, uniforms, literature, and photographs. The museum opened in 1984 on the former training field of the country's first flying school, which was opened by Sweden's first aviator Carl Cederström in 1912. Home to the sole surviving Junkers Ju 86 and a renowned DC-3 shot down in 1952, the museum also exhibits pioneer equipment in aviation such as an SK 1 Albatros, M 1 Nieuport, and B 1 Bréguet. The museum spans three levels with a small outdoor exhibit. On the upper level, learn firsthand about the modern JAS 39 Gripen, a single-engine multirole fighter aircraft, via flight simulators. Great museum! Lots to look at and interact with. Really clean and well looked after. Good place to visit for all ages. Good restaurant as well.
Good place for improving your knowledge. Also good for children. I like how the way they designed the display.
