The painter Isaac Grünewald, lived in the Villa 1936-1946. He renamed the property to "Saltsjöklack". Unfortunately, there was no opportunity to visit the Villa at today's visit. However, we have been promised to come back again. Looking forward to seeing the Villa even on the inside.

Was there on the so-called free openhouse-viewing but they also organizes guided tours and also rent out the House for other purposes. Christenings, parties etc. one may also exhibit his art there. The House was built in 1893, architect Ferdinand Boberg. And is also extended in installments of other architects. It has been inhabited by several people that the summer stay. The most famous (and first year-round residents) is Isaac Grunewald, who lived there from 1937 until he died in a plane crash 1946 when his son took over the House until 1972. The House was purchased by the current owners who inhabit part of the House. The house owner who also was our guide was engaged, knowledgeable about art, the surrounding area and had a wonderful initial ability to tell about the building's history and also about their own history in the House. A hidden gem. Clearly worth seeing. Recommended.
It is a very nice place and beautiful house for various gatherings. The premises are large with room for the right many visitors. I've been there before at Bla Verniśage but this time at a private party. It is possible to get right near the house by taxi but the house is otherwise not suitable for people who have difficulty moving, with the staircase up to the upper level as an example.
