#5 of 45 in Parks in Stockholm
The former home of Prince Eugen, Prins Eugens Waldemarsudde today represents one of the most popular art museums in Sweden. The state acquired the property after Prince Eugen's death. It includes the gallery and mansion, built by Ferdinand Boberg in 1905, as well as the old house and linseed mill, built in the 1780s. Tour the museum's exhibitions, with paintings by Prince Eugen and pieces from his personal collection. Walk through the estate's parkland for views of old oak trees, the harbor, and sculptures from French and Swedish artists. • Experience the prince's tasteful residence and wonderful exhibition, partly with works from his collection. He had many prominent artists in his circle of friends! Engaging temporary exhibitions. Today it shrouded in rainhaze and fog but in very beautiful autumn Attid.

  • Prince Eugene's home on the island of Djurgarden is surrounded by greenery overlooking the sea and a small marina! You can easily reach it by tram, bus and hop on hop off, in our case, making a piece walk from the stop. At this autumn time, walking in the estate park is really relaxing thanks to the colorful leaves that come off the trees and the pale sunlight that runs through the fronds of the Trees creating beautiful games of light. The prince's 3-storey mansion, from which is accessed internally from the building next door to the ticket office, shop and museum of artistic paintings, we loved it as a welcoming, collected collection, where you can still breathe the prince's love for the nature, the flowers he represented in his paintings, some of which are displayed in some rooms of the house. Recommended visit!

  • Beautiful museum with art, garden and royal history. However, I would say that it is not a suitable museum for children. Also it costs a lot to enter and you can visit better museum’s for free in Stockholm
  • A large gallery with an impressive collection of paintings from some of the more notable and influencial scandanavian artists. The venue operates on multiple levels across different buildings connected by an underground corridor, the old house and a more modern space. The place is air conditioned which is a of welcome relief in the middle of July. A great place to spend some time, will definitely call in again.
