Kick off your visit on the 15th (Fri): don't miss a visit to CN Tower. Keep things going the next day: step into the grandiose world of Casa Loma, take in the spiritual surroundings of St James Anglican Cathedral, and then take a stroll through The Distillery District.

In a place calling itself the "Loveliest Town in Canada," vacations in Niagara-on-the-Lake remain a good choice for anyone searching for a relaxed and scenic experience in Canada's wine country.
On the 18th (Mon), identify plant and animal life at Butterfly Conservatory, explore the striking landscape at Journey Behind the Falls, and then hike along Niagara Glen Nature Areas. On the 19th (Tue), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: do a tasting at Trius Winery, learn about winemaking at Konzelmann Estate Winery, and then see the interesting displays at Niagara-On-The-Lake Hockey.

Called the "Limestone City" because it contains many white-stone buildings, Kingston served as the first capital of Canada.
On the 20th (Wed), take in the exciting artwork at Martello Alley, then steep yourself in history at Fort Henry (Fort Henry National Historic Site), then ponder the world of politics at Kingston City Hall, and finally contemplate the waterfront views at Lake on the Mountain. On your second day here, look for all kinds of wild species at Lemoine Point Conservation Area, then contemplate the long history of Bellevue House National Historic Site, then see the interesting displays at Canada's Penitentiary Museum, and finally stroll around Kingston Waterfront.

You can do a combination of car and train from Niagara-on-the-Lake to Kingston in 4.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. Expect a daytime high around 17°C in October, and nighttime lows around 8°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 21st (Thu) early enough to go by car to Ottawa.

A major center of technology nicknamed "Silicon Valley North," Ottawa offers visitors a modern flavor with its range of trendy hotels, shops, and restaurants.
Get some cultural insight at Upper Canada Village and National Gallery of Canada. Discover out-of-the-way places like Notre Dame Basilica and Arboretum (Experimental Farm). Step out of Ottawa with an excursion to River Rafting & Tubing in Foresters Falls--about 1h 30 min away.
